Private Pilot License
When you become a Licensed Private Pilot you can fly your aircraft when weather permits.
You can have lunch in the Hamptons and dinner in Connecticut.
But, you must be a student pilot first!
A student pilot learns:
• Basic aircraft handling
• In-Flight maneuvers
• Navigation
• FAA regulations
• And more.
The learning period is approximately 40-60 hours of flying.
Basic Requirements including:
• Read, speak, write and understand the English language.
• Obtain at least 3rd class FAA medical certificate. Contact us for a list of doctors in your area.
• Must be 16+ years old to obtain Student Pilot License.
• Must be 17+ years old to obtain Private Pilot License.
• Minimum of 40 hours total flying time.
• Minimum of 10 hours (out of the total 40 hours) must be solo.
• 5 hours (out of the 10 solo hours) must be cross-country.
• Pass the FAA Private Pilot written exam.
• Pass the Private Pilot Oral and Practical exam.
Private Pilot License cost about $7,300 based on the hour’s requirement by the law including study material and exams fee.
